What are Cookies?

We use cookies to:

  • Ensure the website operates securely and efficiently.

  • Provide certain functionality (like live chat).

  • Analyze traffic and improve performance.

  • Remember your cookie preferences.

Legal basis under PECR and UK GDPR: Under PECR, we must obtain prior, active consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. For personal data processed via cookies, our lawful bases are:

  • Legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies (we document and maintain a Legitimate Interests Assessment (LIA) where appropriate).

  • Consent for analytics, functional and marketing cookies.

We will not set non-essential cookies until you give active consent via our cookie banner (see “How we obtain consent” below).

How to Manage or Withdraw Your Consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the floating cookie icon found in the bottom-left corner of our website.

From there, you can:

  • View all cookies currently in use

  • Enable or disable specific categories

  • Revoke previously given consent

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • Block cookies entirely

  • Delete stored cookies

  • Set preferences for specific websites

Cookie banner behaviour and accessibility
  • The cookie banner appears on first visit and prevents non-essential cookies and scripts from loading until consent is given.

  • The banner offers clear, granular choices (Accept All / Reject All / Manage preferences).

  • There are no pre-ticked boxes; active opt-in is required for non-essential cookies.

  • The floating cookie icon is persistent and accessible so you can change preferences at any time.

  • We aim to make the banner accessible (keyboard focusable and screen-reader friendly). If you have trouble using the banner, contact us at the address below.

Consequences of disabling cookies

If you disable or block certain categories of cookies, parts of the site may not function as intended. For example:

  • Blocking Functional cookies may prevent live chat and other interactive features.

  • Blocking Analytics cookies prevents us from gathering anonymous usage data, which may affect our ability to improve the site.

Retention and data minimisation

We retain cookie data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (see the table above for cookie expiry). Consent records are retained for 1 year by default in CookieYes (or for another period if you have configured otherwise). Where possible we adopt data minimisation practices (for example, configuring analytics to anonymise IP addresses or limiting retention) — confirm your Analytics settings and we will note them here.

Third-party processors and profiling / marketing cookies

Some cookies are set and controlled by third parties such as Google (Analytics and reCAPTCHA), Zoho, Cloudflare, and more. These third parties process data under their own policies. We list the main third-party providers and their opt-out or privacy pages next to the cookie table on our site. If we deploy advertising or profiling cookies (remarketing, audience building), we will disclose the providers, purpose and how to opt out (for example, Google Ads Settings or vendor opt-out pages). If you currently do not use marketing cookies, we will state that explicitly in the table.

Children & age considerations

Our services are not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable local age of digital consent). If you believe we have collected data from a child without appropriate parental consent, please contact us so we can take corrective action.

Your Rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@ccbconsulting.co.uk with the subject line “Data Subject Request — Cookies” and include:

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. We will note the last review date at the top of this page (Effective date: 15 August 2025). We monitor guidance from the ICO and other regulators and will update the policy if material legal or technical changes occur.
